Meet the Artist
Hi, I'm Eli (pronounced Ellie), the artist behind Inkstone. Born and raised in Washington, I absolutely love living in this beautiful corner of the world. While I’ve enjoyed sketching and doodling since childhood, it wasn’t until 2019 that I began to seriously pursue my art. My youngest daughter was seven at the time, and I found myself with a few extra pockets of time to sit down and draw.
I quickly fell in love with sketching with fine-liner pens. Shortly after I started drawing again, my husband gifted me a set of watercolors and brushes, and I’ve been working exclusively in those two mediums ever since. Living on the West Coast, surrounded by mountains, seas, and trees, provides endless inspiration. Capturing even a small piece of this natural beauty—whether through the precise detail of a pen or the unpredictable washes of watercolor—is my favorite way to share my love for these spaces.
Ultimately, I hope my art serves as an invitation to connect with nature—whether that means stepping outside to explore or simply pausing to relax with a cup of coffee and a painting that brings you joy.
To explore my art in person, feel free to visit some of my wonderful local stockists, such as The Pacific Northwest Shop (locations in Tacoma and Seattle) or Big Whale Consignment in Seattle. You can also frequently find me setting up shop at local artisan markets, including The Puyallup Farmer's Market. I always keep my booth stocked with fresh watercolor washes and fine-pen details, and I would love to meet you there!
